HUGE thank you to everyone who organized this event; Adam Lz, Aaron Losey with Lonestar Drift, Michael and Chris Napp with Raceway Park, DriftHQ, and anyone else I might have missed.
What an event! A month ago we saw the poster go up on social media and thought, “Awesome! A new event, new drivers, new style, new cars, let’s go!”, and then the hunt for Media Passes began.
I definitely wasn’t expecting the lineup I walked into Friday night, or the warm welcome as I walked up to driver pits to look around, get familiar with the drivers / cars, and snap a few shots. I watched some Friday night driving on the road course, and started getting myself hyped up for Saturday’s mayhem on the Formula Drift stadium course.
Seeing these big names drive on the local course, after watching many of their trips to other tracks, and now they’re here. And here the drift games, YouTube call-outs, drift trains, and even just watching everyone wrench on their cars together, was definitely an awesome experience. I was glad to be a part of this event, and hope I get to see more like it in the future!
