My first Disney Trip, at 31 years old. To say this place is only for kids and you won’t enjoy it as an adult, is incredibly wrong.
Driving down was an adventure in itself. It was nice having a car when we needed to get around, or get to Animal Kingdom before the park opens, to be first in line for The Flight of Passage, or the day you decide to spend at Universal.
Just walking around the parks, living the movies I’ve watched countless times, and riding mind blowing rides, some over and over again, was an incredible experience. Standing face to face with a storm trooper, walking through the Haunted Mansion, taking part in Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, all left me with memories that won’t soon fade.
I will say that the food, the shops, the random performances you find yourself walking into, the fireworks and laser shows nightly, and the characters walking around truly bring this place to life and keep you engaged in a world that is Disney. Life outside of Disney doesn’t exist here.
As appears to be customary, we took a day of our vacation to drive over to Universal Studios. We walked around to find some dinosaurs, which we had a photo taken with.
We walked through the magical world of Harry Potter, rode the train to Hogwarts, and after casting some spells around town, rode broomsticks with Harry Potter and enjoyed some butterbeer.
After riding some rides, walking the park, and meeting Doc Brown, we headed back to the room to rest our feet and head out for a lovely dinner in Animal Kingdom.
Our Disney trip was truly an amazing experience and I cannot wait to go back. If you’ve been waiting to go for any reason, stop. Just go.
